Our Team

Mr. Houg serves in the role of President of the I Buy Scrap Recycling group of companies. Mr. Houg is responsible for the overall growth and development of both new and existing markets. Prior to I Buy Scrap Recycling Trent spent 20 years in the software industry where he founded the Leaplab group of Internet companies that developed ground breaking internet technology that is widely used today. Trent is particularily interested in finding innovative ways to change the way that we recycle not only scrap metal but also plastic, cardboard and solid waste. Trent is a member of the Arizona Recycling Coalition. Trent is married and has 3 children.

Mrs. Zuniga serves in the role of Office Manager at I Buy Scrap Recycling, Tempe. Rose Mary brings with her many years of experience in multiple facets of recycling. Rose Mary works with both our ferrous and non ferrous teams and is always readily available to answer any questions that you may have relating to scrap pricing, types of scrap materials that we accept and payment. Rose Mary has been with I Buy Scrap since 2018. In her free time Rose Mary enjoys dancing, cooking and spending time with her family. Elizabeth is married and has 5 children

Mr. Zuniga serves in the role of Yard Manager at I Buy Scrap Recycling, Tempe. Mr Zuniga is responsible for both our ferrous and non ferrous teams of employees as well as equipment purchase and repair. Prior to I Buy Scrap Recycling Jose had a long career with SA Recycling where he ran the shredder department as well as served in a supervisory role Jose has been around the scrap business since he was 9 years old. Jose career started in Durango Mexico where he was vehicle dismantler using just an axe and his bare hands. In his spare time Jose likes to play pool. Jose is married and has 6 children

Mr. Vidal serves in the role as Non Ferrous Manager at I Buy Scrap Recycling, Tempe. Mr. Vidal is responsible for the purchasing, weighing and sorting of all domestic and export non ferrous materials. Weston has been with I Buy Scrap Recycling since 2013. In his spare time Weston like to hang out with family and friends Weston is single and lives in Phoenix and has two boys.

Mr. Gomez serves in the role of Non Ferrous Processing Supervisor at I Buy Scrap Recycling, Tempe. Mr Gomez is responsible for overseeing the non ferrous processing of various materials headed to the steel, copper and aluminum mills. Pablo also serves as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the loading and unloading of both ferrous and non ferrous materials. In his spare time Pablo likes to enjoy outings with his family at the park. Pablo is married and has 3 children.

Mr. Burciaga serves in the role of Ferrous Loading Supervisor. Mr. Burciaga is responsible for the loading of all ferrous materials for delivery to the shredder and steel mills. Felipe is also responsible for all metal fabricating and metal repair around the facilities. Felipe has over 20 years of experience in the scrap metal industry. Prior to joining I Buy Scrap Recycling Felipe was employed with Liberty Iron in various roles. In his spare time Felipe likes to travel to Sedona and around Arizona with his family. Felipe is married and has three children​

Mr. Moriarty serves in the role of Non Ferrous Buyer and Truck Scale Operator. Mr. Moriarty is responsible for the purchasing, weighing and sorting of all domestic and export non ferrous materials. Michael has been with I Buy Scrap Recycling since 2017. In his spare time Michael likes gaming online, country dancing and spending time with friends Michael is single and lives in Phoenix.

Mr. Torres  is responsible for the breakdown, weighing and sorting of all HVAC units, compressors & electric motors for export.  Armando has been with I Buy Scrap Recycling since 2016. In his spare time Armando likes to attend services at his local church. Armando is single and lives in Phoenix and has two sons.

Mr. Quezada is responsible for the purchasing, weighing and sorting of all domestic and export non ferrous materials. Juan has been with I Buy Scrap Recycling since 2021. In his spare time Juan likes to spend time watching MMA, boxing, soccer and spending time with family and  friends Juan is single and lives in Phoenix.

Ms. Halingstad serves in the role of Cashier and Assistant Office Manager. In this role Ms. Halingstad is responsible for checking all purchases and cross referencing all inbound and outbound loads.

Mr. Anguiano serves in the role of Truck Sale Operator. In this role Mr. Anguino is responsible for grading all inbound and outbound material. Jesus is also responsible for proper placement and sorting of all ferrous materials. In his spare time Jesus enjoys wine tasting and singing Karaoke.  

Mr.  Gulsby serves in the role of Swingman. As a Swingman Mr. Gulsby is responsible for filling in for various key roles roles around the facility. Mr.  Gulsby is single and lives in Tempe.
